There's a very, very new community that I think a friar told me their apostolate has to do with the new evangelization and media. I'm not 100% sure of that, though; I could be very mistaken. They're the Franciscan Sisters Minor, and I think there are about 4 sisters. Maybe you'll remember we had some threads about a community called the Franciscan Sisters Minor who became the Poor Sisters of St. Clare, but this is a new community related to the Poor Sisters but different women. They don't have any information on them online that I know of, but you could email the franciscanbrothersminor@hotmail.com to find out how to contact them.

There are quite a few with media apostolates:

Sisters of St. Benedict Center (publish books)

Servants of the Lord and Virgin of Matara (publish magazines, books, etc)

Servants of the Pierced Hearts of Jesus and Mary (radio, DVDs, video, etc.)

Sisters of St. Francis of Perpetual Adoration (participate in televised Masses to the homebound)

Missionary Sisters of St. Peter Claver (Editing mission magazine Echo from Africa in 7 languages)

Disciples of Our Lord Jesus Christ (publish a magazine called "Praise Him!")

Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist (have a show on EWTN called "Truth in the Heart")

Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy aka St. Faustina's order (proclaim God's mercy through giving talks at conferences, on TV and the radio using the Mass Media)

Daughters of the Immaculata (promote Marian Consecration through the various venues of the media)

Starr County Benedictines (evangelization through radio media)

Discalced Carmelites of Flemington, NJ (own and operate St. Teresa's Press)

Monastic Order of the Cross (have apostolates in writing and publishing)

I spoke with Mother Colette Marie at the March for life, and she told me that their apostolate is evangelization through media. Their convent is still being finished, but they will have a recording studio to record Fr. David Mary and other priests' homilies/talks and other original works to freely distribute. They don't have an online presence, but their email is FranciscanSistersMinor@gmail.com. I forgot to get a picture of them, but their habits are similar to the Brothers with the same type of veil and wimple as the Poor Sisters of St. Clare though they are all currently in white veils. They don't have an age limit.

Very interesting.  I followed the transition from FSM to Poor Sisters and noticed that some of the original sisters did not show up in the photos of the enclosure ceremony.  I didn't know what happened to them...now I know (or at least I assume).

I can't confirm that. I know the 2 Sisters who were at the March had not previously been FSM.

Also, anyone interested in these sisters should check out the Brothers' website because their spirituality and way they live out their Franciscan charism is the same/very similar, and feel free to pm me if you want to know more but don't know if you want to contact the Sisters yet (I know i was shy like that).
