Amppax
Hey pham, I was wondering if anyone had good resources on confession. I'm planning on giving a talk to guys here at school to help them more efficaciously use the sacrament. I've been reading a couple books on it, but I figured that I might as well ask y'all. God Bless!
Nihil Obstat
Maybe search some keywords on Fr. Z's blog. He is absolutely superb on the subject.
Amppax
Anyone else? Thanks Nihil! I'll look into that. I've got a book by Dr. Hahn on confession and one used by the Sacraments classes here, but I don't have a ton of time to read. So we'll see how it goes. If anyone has anything else, I'd be really grateful.
Anastasia13
This book, though written by an Eastern Orthodox, discusses the cannons of St. John the Faster, a saint shared by EO and Catholics: Exomologetarion: A Manual of Confession by St. Nikodemos the Hagiorite (Author), Fr. George Dokos (Translator), Protopresbyter George Metallinos (Introduction), Bishop Basil of Wichita (Preface). I have not read this book myself, but an EO coworker found it helpful. This book is suggested to be read with care and not by everyone as the cannons may be too strict for those prone to despair or vainglory who do not know the cannons well in context (I got this comment from some posts on an Orthodox website). This has an except, if you would like to see: http://preachersinstitute.com/2010/03/04/how-everyone-should-prepare-for-confesion-st-nikodemos-the-hagiorite/ Edited January 22, 2013 by Light and Truth

Not sure if I'm going to be able to find it in time to make much use of it, but it does look really interesting. Thanks!
