PadrePioOfPietrelcino
So after almost a decade being out of the classroom I am once again an enrolled student attending classes...maybe this time around I can finish my degree...avoid the stupid parties and get good grades. Ironically my old student ID issued in 2001 is still valid and just electronically updated. It was about 3 ID designs ago so everybody takes a couple second to look at it. As well because I had done so poorly before and been out for so long my school issued what they call a Fresh Start. Basically all the work I did before is on my transcript but it neither counts for nor against anything I do now, but they do not erase credit given for military service, so I have 54 ungraded elective credits as I start my degree again...54 hours and a 0.00 GPA might be a new low record. PadrePioOfPietrelcino
I'm just doing Gen Ed courses to show the Archbishop I can get good grades...things that will transfer to Seminary ect... Art History Freshman Comp...just because it'll be good to freshen up my citation skills :) World History 1200-1750 U.S. Gov I Intro to Internatnal Politics... Both of the Poli Sci courses I took because I have a good relationship with the professor and even been a guest presenter for his classes in the past :) As a side note the Dean of Students (whom I had to meet with yesterday as a returning student) has asked if he can put me on the University's speaker schedule to present my ideas and story on U.S. military involvement in foriegn countries. Hopefully this will be a good indicator of my semester to come.
Anastasia13
International politics? Do tell me if you learn something cool! If I could do things over again, I would do more of that and less business administration. Edited January 19, 2013 by Light and Truth
Basilisa Marie
Good for you! That sounds like a smart line up, with the history and politics. And freshman comp is great for helping you get into the college writing mindset, in addition to the citation stuff. :)

Anastasia13
Quick question: What does "Comp" stand for? Probably composition, like those freshman english courses we all need to account for somehow to get a regular college degree.
Basilisa Marie
Yep, Composition, like LT said. You wouldn't believe how many people get into college and don't know the first thing about writing a paper (using text speak, only writing in opinions, etc). They're meant to help fill in gaps, make sure everyone has some kind of writing training in at least one citation style, and some business degrees require a writing course, so it fills that requirement.
