4588686
Yeah those numbers seem a bit high. I mean I consider my family middle class and I know that our income is nowhere NEAR what they are saying. The median household income is about $44,

Lilllabettt
well its nyc. it's almost an alternate universe. I knew a chick who supported herself as a waitress there bringing in 35,000. I think that is a lot for a waitress - but she struggled to make ends meet on that income. A first year teacher in nyc fresh out of college can clear 50k. That is at the very beginning of a career in a low paying field like education. if you get your first job on wall street, which is what many people in my class did when we graduated, you can get 70, 80, easily. I knew somebody who got 6 figures on wall street - for their very first job - in the economy as it was 2 years ago. So you can imagine how much people with a decade of experience or a professional degree can earn.
Papist
My 4th child is due in late March. The article does not detail how I get my income increase. If they bumped me up to $650K/yr I would be ok with the $21,608 tax increase.
eagle_eye222001
And people think these tax increases will solve our fiscal problems?

Is it too late to sign up? My 4th child is due in late March. The article does not detail how I get my income increase. DiscerningCatholic
Sorry, but since when people make $650,000 a year? Or even $260,000 a year? I don't think that even congress makes that much... yet.

Many people do. Just not many families with four kids. :hehe:
