It is good. If you're on Google+ I'll show it to you. And as for your second concern, I have male bonding. I just normally don't go to a barber for that sort of thing. Mark Posted January 19, 2013 Share Posted January 19, 2013 The Ruger 10-22, LR by itself is just a squirrel gun, however if you put a pistol grip on it( for better barrel control, or hip firing) it becomes an Assault style Rifle banned under the Presidents wish list. Also it then can become an assault rifle under New York law as the smallest clip for the Ruger 10-22 is a 10 round clip, squirrels are fast. Mind you this is a 22 caliber rifle and the round travels at a mere 1270 fps, as to the M-16 I used when in the Army was a 7.62mm round and traveles at (I my be off as it has been some years) 2250fps. Any round can kill a human being, it is not so much the caliber as the area one is shot, and or the amount of rounds carried down range and on target. In 1984 a man in L.A. , while high on PCP robbed a convebience store and the polic shot him 43 times with 9mm rounds and he then died. A 20 year old male was hunting squirrels, tripped on a fallen branch, the 22 LR he had was not on safe, it discharged one round through his left eye and he died immediately. I own guns, as I live in a rural area, and we Hunt for sustinance - Deer, Moose, Ducks, Geese, grouse etc. My children have been around guns their whole lives, taken gun safety first from me then from a liscensed gun safety instructor. They have also been around Bows their whole life, as we are avid bow hunters, as my youngest has Cerebral Palsy (paralized on one side) she cannot use any gun, and we will not encourage it, however she is very accurate with a cross-bow (she has been liscensed in our state since she was 8 years old, she is now 17. The bow is very deadly also, maybe we should regulate bows as well, oh yeah we already do as we regulate guns. We need to inforce the laws on the books, as I am sure you have not even heard of the seven people, since the CT shooting, that were stopped from killing any innocents, as they were stopped by people that had conceal and carry permits, one was an off duty cop, another a teacher, store clerk. Did you hear of these incidents? No as they are not sensational enough top make the national news, oh my someone was saved by a gun carrying citizen. I am saddened after any deranged person kills the innocent, I was horrified when it came to our backyard, via the Red Lake massacre, March 21, 2005, as I and others buried our friends. So Ipray for those that die in these evil masacres. So I leave you some words from the sane(just kidding) Jopseph Stalin. "I object not to the worker, he may keep a rifle, non klishnakov style (meaning single round), for hunting and protection, however we must rember that a citizenry that is ever to be kept in it's place, it must never have the means that the party has, of defending itself from the party polotic, fore then how shall the polotic ever believe it can control the worker?".
