BG45
Here I was thinking we'd be discussing the O-Antiphons.
brianthephysicist
Automatic or semi-automatic assault rifles with their large cartridges are definitely different from a less "scary looking" bolt action rifle carrying 3 to 6 rounds or a semi-automatic rifle carrying 3 to 6 rounds in the belly, handguard, or stock, and significantly different from a shotgun or handgun. *note* I'm not making a case that we should outlaw this type of weapon, but there is a notable difference. Yea, power per shot is another difference, I only commented on the killing power per reload. There's tons of differences between those weapons and that's part of what I was trying to express. Right now I'm railing at the sentiment that a person would be trying to get rid of assault weapons because they look scarier than other rifles. There are reasonable arguments that want to get rid of assault rifles. I do not agree with the arguments, but I can respect them for what they are. I put it in the lame board for a reason. By the way, we should hang out again sometime soon so you can see my wicked awesome haircut. I would take pictures but I think I will be banned from the forum. :P And something that might interest you, Nihil, is that my new hair cutting lady convinced me to let her gel my hair after she cut it, and I liked it so much I bought the bottle of gel she used. It's a very thick paste stuff, which she said worked best with my kind of very thick hair. Edited January 17, 2013 by FuturePriest387

Isn't the barbershop supposed to be a boys club like the salon is a girl's club?
PhuturePriest
Wait - you get your hair cut by a girl? Isn't the barbershop supposed to be a boys club like the salon is a girl's club? Indeed. But I like getting my hair cut by a girl. They know what girls like, and they know more about hair and what works for your type of hair and what doesn't. Oh sure, let a woman tell you what to do. :| I guess I am called to be a husband!

Also, there's something to be said for the male bonding that you can get there that you can get nowhere else.

And I used to go to a barber when I was younger, but since he retired I have gone to women. They have done an acceptable job.
Lil Red
Here I was thinking we'd be discussing the O-Antiphons. i'm a bad Catholic because my first thought was the line from Office Space about "showing my 'O' face". :|

Second, that doesn't address my previous concern.
