PhuturePriest
Ardillacid, I like your cat... but s(he) is starting to creep me out.... What did you think of the singing, AnneLine? Did I use better technique and sound better this time? Bahahaha! This is the greatest meme ever!
AnneLine
What did you think of the singing, AnneLine? Did I use better technique and sound better this time? Hey, Miles, Yes, I could undertand almost every word this time. You HAVE been working on this! My own preference is for a little less emoting (but I have watched the Josh Groban video, and he is emoting as well.... so I won't fault you for it....) You already know there were some technical problems in other areas, but the technique and sound is getting better. It's clear you (and your kitty!) are working very hard on this.... BTW, I actually think that the moments when you are partly focusing on relocating the kitty (figuring out where the cat is, scooping her up & relocating) your voice is purer... I think because you are just singing and not focusing on 'singing'. It does make a difference -- listen to it again and see if you can see what I am talking about.... What I think you want to aim for (some of the musicians on the list may have other views????) is working on the purest sound quality you can come up with, the clearest ennunciation, and less focus on the 'feeling' -- it will come through if you think about what you are singing anyway.... and it won't seem as forced. But that's my opinion....

But that's my opinion.... I feel guilty when you praise me. I actually haven't been working on this that much. I'm just that much better at singing Josh Groban's songs than I am at the Phantom of the Opera's. Yeah. Though I was mostly calm, I was still slightly nervous and trying hard to sing as best as I could, so during the distractions it would make sense if I sounded better. I'm not actually focusing on the feeling, believe it or not. When I did the video, I tried to remember not to move my hands or emote that much, but that all comes naturally to me. I try not to, but it just happens. There's no stopping it because that's how Michael trained me to sing.
