i<3franciscans
Try Old Navy. They have a MILLION cuts. I have big thighs, small butt, small waist and long legs and I prefer boot cut. The Diva's are great...not absolutely perfect around the waste, but butt and thigh and the rest work well and I have a belt that works. My mom put "darts" (folded over piece) in one pair's waistline and the fit is superb. Old Navy is probably your best bet. :)
franciscanheart
Get jeans that fit right in the important spots and then visit the TAILOR. An aside: why do people not use tailors? I get my jeans at Gap and then have the tailor make adjustments (for different shoes). She once did away with some extra bum fabric and I couldn't even tell -- except when I put them on and there was no more sag!

Because at least here, a tailor is really expensive, and if I'm already paying an arm and a leg for a pair of pants, then darn it, they should fit me without having to have someone ELSE mess with them! cartermia
I dion't know if this store is all over the country but you could try Gabriel Brothers. I got a pair of jeans for $7 and they have lasted over a year without any hole or anything and I am hard one my jeans (play in creeks and go rock climbing in them...) PhuturePriest
Of course you were the first to respond to this thread. :P I recently got a pair of skinny jeans at aeropostale that fit great. I don't usually shop there, but a friend dragged me in... Oh, you know me so well. :P I get mine at Target. I love Target. Target is great. Sadly, there is not one near me, but I always find awesome clothing there that you would never dream of finding at Walmart, such as my totally amazing vintage coat I got for Christmas. More's the pity. I love Gabe's. I actually have jeans that I bought at Gabriel Brother's 5-10 years ago that are still wearable (they just don't fit that well since I've had a couple kids since buying them). Beall's Outlet is similar to Gabe's (Gabe's prices are WAY better, though), and I've found decent jeans there that I've been wearing for a couple years now. http://www.beallsoutlet.com/StoreLocator.html
xTrishaxLynnx
Best fitting jeans I've had were from American Eagle... not cheap, though. Second best are Riders from Walmart. They're $20 regularly, I got them for $9.50. I also like only one fit that they have at Old Navy because all the others were too low cut for me, but those were $20-30 depending on sales. xTrishaxLynnx
I should add that the Riders were boot cut. I don't wear skinny jeans - can't stand any pants that are tight around the calves or ankles - so I can't offer any advice there.
LinaSt.Cecilia2772
I wear Levi's Jeans, and they're the only ones that actually fit me. They have many different styles and cuts, and they have some in the correct length too since I'm a short mexican girl with big hips and thighs. I hate jean shopping for that reason, but ever since I found Levi's I won't wear anything else.

MissyP89
I wear Arizona boot cuts now. Super comfy but not fitting properly in the waist. I don't want to wear a belt. I want to buy jeans that actually fit me right without messing, darn it. Growing out of my J.Lo's, unfortunately. Sad day.
inunionwithrome
I wear Lee at the Waist. I had bought Lee's for work in khakis that sit right at my waist, and fit real women figures. In other words, for those of us with hips and thighs. But then again, as stated earlier, not every brand is right for each person. Try what fits, buy at least 3 good pairs if you can or 1 pair that will at least last for 3 years or more. You could also try Tractor Supply. OnlySunshine
I used to wear Gloria Vanderbilt a lot and I loved Riders by Lee. My mom LOVES Riders because they have a hidden elastic waist band and they hold up in the wash really well.
