Ellenita
Iacobus, what genres do you like? I'm sure there are one or two learned women here who can point you in the right direction of female authors......
Flannery O'Connor . . . great writer. But some of her stories are just . . . weird. Especially A Good Man is Hard to Find -- I mean, what an ending! As for Jane Austen, some people love her, some people hate her. But I'm glad that you're reading -- i mean, listening to -- Pride and Prejudice, Iacobus. It's a good story and it's very funny. And I'm glad you're going to watch the five hour movie too. Other good female writers . . . Agatha Christie is good. J.K. Rowling -- but you don't like Harry Potter. I can't think of any more that I like at the moment. I have to admit, I love the dead British male writers too: Tolkien, Chesterton, Dickens, Lewis . . . . cmotherofpirl
I just wanted to say that I am reading a book written by a female. I can't stand it, lol. Women can't write, hehe. But I am at least giving one a chance. So there Colleen and ESP! Vera, lol. I opened my tastes beyond British male authors, lol. Kinda. LOL. Oik
Throw Jane Austen in the fire place (since burning trash in your fire place is still legal) and read Flannery O'Connor.
