PhuturePriest
How does on that is color blind figure out that he is indeed color blind? Wouldn't he just assume they were the same colors everyone else saw? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U6y7YOlldek&list=PL6C8323FED79716C7&index=

brianthephysicist
That's why the lights are supposed to be in the same location. Some of the lights in NJ are sideways.

Anomaly
Green it either on the right or on the bottom per law. Not really law. The US has establisehd the MUTCD as a standard. Different transportation departments adopt and comply with it in various ways. There's a lot of leeway for signal indications. You'd be amazed at what's possible and what is used. As a side note. I had an employee who built and wired traffic signals that was color blind. R-Y-G is easy, it's blue or purple, red or orange wires that was troublesome, especially at night. brianthephysicist
Green it either on the right or on the bottom per law. I have a colorblind friend that won't drive in the part of town with the sideways lights because he gets his left and right confused so it's not safe for him or others. Basilisa Marie
How does on that is color blind figure out that he is indeed color blind? Wouldn't he just assume they were the same colors everyone else saw? When he gets yelled at in kindergarten for coloring the grass red and the flowers green. I remember a kid who would always ask us if a crayon was green, because he was red/green color blind. AnneLine
I have a good friend who is a priest who is color blind. One parish he ws at made a MAJOR investment in new vestments. Beautiful, stunning vestments. Everyone loved them. Nicer, but something like these: Just one problem.... did you notice that exactly same design is on all the chasibles, stoles, etc... just the colors were different? Oh boy... After way too much teasing about grabbing the green vestments during purple season and all the rest, he sewed tags with the color names on the inside. Said he felt like a 3 year old. BUT, problem solved. A little tougher with the lights... Edited January 15, 2013 by AnneLine
carmenchristi
Did anyone else read "I'm a thoughtful gay"? Sheesh.... Thought Miles was coming out of the closet..... Then I clicked on this thread and my doubts were confirmed.
PhuturePriest
Did anyone else read "I'm a thoughtful gay"? Sheesh.... Thought Miles was coming out of the closet..... Then I clicked on this thread and my doubts were confirmed. I thought I was gay once. It was quite depressing. I listened to Aerosmith's "Take Me To The Other Side" all day. And no, sadly I am not joking.
