Aren't these the sisters who are not in full communion with the Church?

I may be wrong anyway, in that case...forgive me!!

You must be mistaken. The SCMC community received full Pontifical status in 1993.

I wrote the good sisters ages ago.Because both my mother and later my father got sick, nothing ever came of my intentions.Maybe God had other plans as I went and actually visited the Discaled Carmelite Nuns in San Antonio. Here is some of the information I recieved from the sisters back in the 1970s or 80s.Originally, the sisters in Baltic, where the motherhouse is located, belonged to the Sisters of Charity of OurMother of Mercy a community from Holland. In 1972,Mother Marie Alma established  from them the Sisters of Charity of Our Mother of the Church. The sisters had at the time I wrote them Diocesan approval and of course later got papal approval. They have always been in communion with Rome.Another interesting them to note.

In the book Convent Life by Joan Lescaux dated 1964,Dial Press was a community named the Sisters of Charity of Zams ,Austria. They had a convent in Janesville Wisconsin. According to the information sent by the Sisters of Charity of Our Lady Mother of the Church, these Sisters of Charity of Zams in 1974 amalgamated  with their community, the ceremony was held in Janesville. Now why they did so i have no idea.

By the way,The parent community of Sisters of Charity of Our Lady Mother of Mercy are still here in the US,but I forget where exactly.

I remember seeing some of them at Youth 2000 events in CT with a group of high school girls that they taught.  Seemed like a great group, the girls were smiling and happy and the sisters seemed very caring and kind.

God bless all of your for your kind words about our Congregation! If you are interested in visiting our Novitiate please do email Sister Jacinta or email me and I will pass it on to her with a little nudge to reply :)  I entered the SCMCs nine years ago and feel so blessed to be called to this specific Congregation. I love strong prayer and community life. May the Holy Spirit enlighten and guide your hearts as you discern God's Will in your life. My prayers are with you!

So glad you are here on Phatmass, Sister! It is always wonderful to have a religious represent their community in a place like this. :) May God grant your beautiful community many vocations (maybe even through Phatmass)!

Wow! I applaud all of your research on the topics of entrance ages, papal approval and our history!  Here are a few answers to your questions. The Sisters of Zams in America had to go back to Zams, amalgamate with another congregation or leave the religious life. These Sisters asked for our help and we are still there to this day :) Saint Elizabeth's Nursing Home. Recently we have opened an assisted living home, Saint Elizabeth's Manor, only a few miles away. Sister Denise who was a Sister of Zams is a member of our Congregation - a lovely soul.

SCMM are located in New Haven CT.

I am happy that you are enjoying the videos. I have asked the Sisters to keep all of you who are discerning your vocation in their daily prayers.

God bless you!!!

My iPod Touch won't let me click on the "email me" link so I am unable to see the email address. My laptop stopped working yesterday and I can only use my iPod. Can someone please post the email for Sr M Joan Clare please? Thanks!
