I've never smelled a newborn baby, but from all the nasty liquid the baby is covered in I cannot imagine newborn babies smell good.

You would be surprised, after the babe is washed and wrapped in swaddling clothes the smell is better than a new car
It last for weeks

But that's not the newborn baby smell. That's the cleaned newborn baby smell. Huge difference.

I've seen newborn babies. They look pretty slimy and impure to me. Plus, newborn babies are not generally baptized, so they are not as pure as you can get (Theologically speaking). Baptize them a week after, then they will be as pure as you can get.

I've seen my own newborn babies take their first breath in the hospital delivery room.  it was the most precious beautiful sight i ever witnessed, next to the radiant glowing of my wife’s face seeing her baby for the first time.

i guess that you have to be there!

I hope you know I've just been joking. I still can't see how a slimy baby can smell good without being cleaned first, but I suppose I will find out someday through either nieces and nephews or children of my own. ;)
