PhuturePriest
Miles, nice videos and nice voice. :) On the diction thing... my mother used to LOVE Frank Sinatra... and I grew up with him in the background. If you've never listened to any of his music you might want to give it a try. BECAUSE... if there was one thing he excelled at, it was diction. He had a reputation that you could understand EVERY WORD, and it is true. Listen to him and listen to how he does it. Part of it is being sure to clip off the end of each word so you understand what the full word was. He pronounces every vowel and every 't'. Here's a really interesting link discussing Frank's diction... http://sinatrafamily.com/forum/my-favorite-things-13/favorite-sinatra-diction-song-872/ And here is a good example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KIiUqfxFttM And my mother's favorite album... you can get a lot of good help just by listening and studying him... and it is pretty good music too, even if they style is a bit old-fashioned these days... but you could probably pull it off, Miles.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s29ZpXvF10A Thank you! I will be sure to try all of this out. I can sing Frank Sinatra, so I will try out his music and practice with too much diction, that way when I try not to overdo it I will have the perfect amount.
