My Singing Video!

Well, the day has finally arrived! After four or five takes, I decided on the recording I liked the most. It really isn't my best. I did not have time to properly warm up, and I drank pop earlier in the day (I didn't know I would be making a video). I know I could have done those first few high notes better, but I will always be able to find some things I wish I could fix, so I guess I can't complain just because the first line isn't perfect. The Phantom of the Opera is actually higher than my voice naturally sings and I had to train my voice to be able to sound good singing it, but overall I'm pleased with my choice. I may do another video of Music of the Night, which is my favorite song from The Phantom of the Opera, and the song from it that I can sing the best. Michael says the song I can sing the absolute best is So She Dances by Josh Groban, so I may do that one too.

Anyway, I'll stop my excuses and let you watch the video. Sorry it's a little dark.

And if you ladies are curious as to what I was wearing, I was wearing a red long sleeve shirt and new green vintage jacket I just got for Christmas. Here is a better picture of it:

You're such a goon Miles. :hehe: Awesome!

Ha. A goon? I'm a theatrical singer! The hand motions are on purpose! I honestly can't control it. My arms just move about without my consent, and the same goes for my eyebrows raising whenever I do a mid to high note (Though you can't tell because of the lighting). I like being theatrical, though. I think I got the theatrical hand motions and singing in general from watching Bruce Dickinson play live.

Watch for about 1:12:

Nice, bro! You have a unique voice, definitely.

Did it sound good? I know it wasn't perfect, but good overall?

Very theatrical. And that's a compliment from me since I am a theatre buff who acts. :)

I think you should sing this:

Thank you! I love being a theatrical singer.

I could never dream of hitting those notes without using my falsetto.

You're trying to hard. No offense. Calm down on the vibrato. Start off low and THEN go into the powerful. It's all about taking the audience in. Don't give it all you got on the first measure. No. Take it slow. Wait till apex of the song.

Oh, and DIAPHRAGM! Learn to use her. She's a beaut that will help you control your voice.

Do you think I would be good enough?

Maybe if you can act. And you continue working on the voice. But don't listen to me. I have 0 vocal talent.
