the171
Ok. So I need some new skirts. I have been looking everywhere for winter-y skirts, but I can't find a thing. Nothing online. Nothing in my area. I want knee length skirts (shorter is ok) that are good for 20 degrees and below. All my skirts are spring-y because I live in the south. North Face has nothing. Patagonia neither. Seriously. I can't find a thing. I tried spring-y skirts with tights last year (this is for DC at the March) but I was too cold. I guess it was because it was very wet last year. Anyway... I know many of you ladies know good places to shop. I don't. HELP!! Hah! Thanks
homeschoolmom
I found corduroy skirts on sale/clearance one year at Kohls. I grabbed one in every color they had: green, tan, brown and cranberry. Love them. I wear them all the time. (I'm picky about skirts-- I have to have pockets.) Another place to check is Christopher and Banks.

It takes too long. I haven't found much at C&B
Anastasia13
I have heard of people out East ordering off of Lands End. They have online shopping.
PhuturePriest
Why would you not come to your sassy gay friend for fashion advice? I've been on the computer doing nothing all day! You should know that when you need fashion advice to come to me! Now, forget the skirts altogether. Wear a bikini and show off that fabulous body of yours. FutureCarmeliteClaire
The skirt I'm wearing to the March is probably a slightly below knee length one I got at Coldwater Creek. Sometimes they have really good finds in the Outlet section (because CW is really pricey). A lot of their stuff is dressy, though. Let's see... This is fairly similar to what I have, but mine is like 2 years older and denim not twill. http://www.coldwatercreek.com/product-detail/63247/69989/linen-twill-flare-skirt.aspx?refLink=outlet-skirts.aspx On the dressier side... :/ http://www.coldwatercreek.com/product-detail/60884/67602/fit-and-flare-woven-skirt.aspx?refLink=outlet-skirts.aspx I tend to go with the extremely long stuff or the knee length dresses because it's just easier to find... Why does it seem like all the shorter skirts are super dressy?... Other randomness from sites I have bookmarked that might be of use... You can pretty much pick a length. http://www.dressingforhisglory.com/skirts/short-corneado-skirt/junior-short-corneado-skirt.html Kind of on the longer end... http://www.llbean.com/llb/shop/70393?feat=615-GN1&page=weekend-riding-skirt Maybe? http://www.llbean.com/llb/shop/70178?feat=615-GN1&page=indispensable-knits-skirt&attrValue_0=Ink%20Black&productId=1174757 Maybe? http://www.llbean.com/llb/shop/70412?feat=615-GN1&page=bean-s-gored-skirt Same in twill. http://www.llbean.com/llb/shop/75244?feat=0-ppxs&dds=y Why would you not come to your sassy gay friend for fashion advice? Gabriela
My friends swear by TJ Maxx. Apparently they have a lot of modest, higher-end clothing for super cheap. I've never been there, but I think it's like Burlington in that you have to hunt around for stuff. I hate stores like that. But I have seen them wearing some nice stuff from there. the171
It must be a skirt that I can romp around in. I tend to do a lot of running and climbing during these trips. Mostly because we stay at a camp during the march. I second the Kohls recommendation. I have purchased several skirts from their clearance section. Or I can mail you my old ones. You are much smaller than I am! Haha! I have large hips.

Ed Normile
Ok, just one question how could a skirt be good for cold weather ? It would seem even if it were made of asbestos insulation the wind would still circulate carrying cold air with it. Its good to be a man... ed
