Is It Always This Quiet Up In Here Before Christmas?

If schizophrenic people see angels, are they really seeing angels?

If you think about it, that brings up about a dozen philosophical problems all at once. Not one of which has been solved...

I suppose it would be possible if the schizophrenic was married to a very wise mystic who understands mental health issues... and she told you, yes, those are angels.  Otherwise BE VERY VERY AFRAID!!!  :hehe2:  Or, just consider the schizophrenic as having very up-to-date mental health crisis that you cannot understand.  God bless you!  :hehe2: :saint2:

She's not married. She lives in a boarding house for the mentally ill and she thinks she sees angels. She's my aunt, and I just don't want my family to get all hysterical about it. I figure there's not a way to know for sure, but it's most likely her illness making her hallucinate.

Bless you both!

There's no reason to be "afraid" of a person with schizophrenia who claims to see angels. Unless the person has a violent history and or has high violent risk at present.

Sorry, that sort of thing just miffs me..

Don't feed into the delusion (i.e. ask questions) or deny the delusion because to her this is reality. It's best to change the subject when this comes up, if possible.
