Chiquitunga
Chiquitingua, it's awesome!!! Do the sisters still use this monastery or it's a museum now? (Sorry, I meant CHIQUITUNGA. Sorry for misspelling your name.) Haha, no worries :smile3: It was the nickname, by the way, of another South American Carmelite saint :saint: well not saint yet, recently declared Venerable, http://chiquitunga.jimdo.com/ You can also just call me "Chiqui" I like that shortened version too! :like: Yes, it's a museum now, http://issuu.com/santateresadelosandes/docs/santateresadelosandes The community moved into a new monastery shown here in the video, which they moved to in 1925, http://www.carmelitasdescalzas.cl/monasterios/f-del-espiritu-santo.php (5 years after the death of St. Teresa) I think it's so neat that that they used the actual monastery she was in in the movie and that they preserved it as a museum now! I know of a few beautiful old Carmelite monasteries in the US which are health centers now (Grand Rapids, MI where Mother Elias lived and died, Schenectady, NY & Bettendorf, IA) Although perhaps if someday a nun from one of them is canonized, they'll become museums too :) Also, that festive song at the end is a song about her. I have the version of the movie with no English subtitles which a friend got for me from her shrine, which is another place apart from the old monastery, where her body is, http://www.santuarioteresadelosandes.cl It has this song as a introduction. Chiquitunga
another one :) and if you've seen the movie, you'll notice they filmed it in a bunch of other actual locations where she lived, like the house in Chacabuco, the parish & her school https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZUsQAMGuhws
