Such happy news!  They mention contacting Imagine Sisters, so hopefully that will bring them to the attention of more discerners. God in your mercy bless them with true vocations.

If anyone is in the area and interested, here's more about when from Sr. John Mary: "This will take place Saturday, February 2, 2013 at 1:30 during Holy Mass. A reception will follow." (Yes, I could have just copied without attributing it to her, but then it would have felt like I was stealing her words.)

Needless to say, I am very excited about this First Profession.

I am pretty much clueless about my role in this other than being the parent, but can anyone offer me any suggestions as to an appropriate gift other than flowers and food?

In other words, is there something that I am supposed to do other than attend?  I want to be as prepared as possible.   Thank you so much for any suggestions!

Hi NunMother, and congratulations on your daughter's upcoming vows! What a beautiful and moving moment for your whole family.

To answer your question as best I can (I have only been to a temporary profession with the Roswell Poor Clare Colettines), it seems that as the family of the Sister professing her vows, you are really the guests of honor. I did not see Sister's family bringing anything in the form of food or flowers to celebrate afterward-rather, the nuns were bringing out their own festive cookies and such for the family. The family may have donated flowers for the altar, as they were especially beautiful that day. This seems like a good gift, as you could send your daughter's favorite flowers to adorn her wedding altar. I am sure the nuns will appreciate anything you send, but like I said before, the greatest thing you gave them was your daughter!

Cannot wait for pics of this beautiful profession.

Edit: Just realized I'll be in the Monastery on February 2nd, but I will keep her vows close to my heart in prayer on that day.
