If something bad or offensive is written publicly about someone in the newspaper or on the internet, does it counts as a detraction if I bring that information to someone who does not already know that information?

I would answer this way: Can. 220 No one may unlawfully harm the good reputation which a person enjoys, or violate the right of every person to protect his or her privacy.
