VeniJesuAmorMi
I think this topic has come up a couple of times before. They are in need of a lot of money to be able to do the renovations that are needed, which also includes being able to except women seeking to enter there and also the care needed for the elderly and infirm. It was in the paper today that recently they have had to turn away 5 wanting to enter. On their website is more information about what is needed. http://abbeyofreginalaudis.org/sitelive/index.htm It is under "The New Horizons Renovation Project." Perhaps if you know of anyone who may be able to help, and of course the more prayers the better! :) I don't know much else about the situation except from what I've been reading and hearing from others. It must be difficult for them to have to turn away those wanting to enter there, so I hope they may be able to have more help that they need soon enough. Also, prayers for those that had to be turned away that they may remain faithful to their vocation during this time which may be difficult for them. Sr Mary Catharine OP
Actually, that isn't quite correct. They haven't turned them away. Partly they have no place to put them because of the renovations. They are doing a lot of gutting out, etc. God willing they will be able to finish the work soon! It must be a real headache for them and not the best environment for someone just starting in monastic life.

Hopefully they will get the work done soon. Its a beautiful place to be over there and they have many that support them and help them, so Lord willing they may finish up the work that needs to be done. On the website it states that phase 1 out of the 5 year project has been complete and there are many pictures of the work thats been going on, which is a great start. Hopefully those 5 that want admittance to this community may find that they may enter one day if that is where they are called. :)
