Due to my recent surgery, I was wondering if some of you have had your appendix removed!

I'm gonna have to go with I don't have it anymore!

Baby teeth?

I have my appendix, but I don't have my spleen. So, I wasn't sure how to vote.

hehehe... I know... I just was kidding around with you... you said you still had everything... ^_^ I know those are supposed to fall out... so it's different... I guess if I was walking down the street and my appendix fell out! Well that would be different... :freak: Probably a lot less painful though, eh, Rev?

My appendix is still alive and kickin' in my abdomen. LOL. (So, yeah, I still have it.)

God bless,

Jen

To the best of my knowledge, the spleen is located near the back of the stomach -- i.e., in the back of the upper-left abdomen. It helps to prevent infection, as I think it forms some types of white blood cells, filters dangerous things out of one's system, and gets rid of old red blood cells. A spleen is pretty helpful, but it's not necessary, so people can and do have it removed if it gets damaged. My spleen is still alive and kickin' in my body, though. :P

God bless,

Jennifer

the spleen really isnt used that much anymore... it was more important back in the old days when it wasnt so clean and the cooking wasnt looked out for as much
