txdinghysailor
This past week I got a chance to go to the Maritime Administration's shipboard fire fighting center in Toledo, OH and learned how to fight fires on ships. Basically it was a couple of classroom sessions then they lit a building shaped like a ship on fire with diesel and gas and jet fuel and we had to go put it out. It was amesome!!!!!!!!!!!!! A couple of times the instructor just walked up behind people who weren't paying attention and lit them on fire. Here's some pics! In the first one you can't really see me, I'm inside the tiny room where I can't stand upright to the left of the fire. You can kinda see the spray from the fire hose through the doorway.
