Not on sale, probably just one. At least with the places I'm familiar with. I think the last good shirt I bought was about $55.
Um, seriously? In our stores a decent shirt is $10. Nihil Obstat
Um, seriously? In our stores a decent shirt is $10.
I think we're talking about different sorts of stores. I've had good luck at places like Mexx and Perry Ellis. It's a bit more expensive than a place like Target, so for me that usually requires shopping for sales and only getting exactly what I need. But the quality is great, and they really last. I think that is an important consideration for 'nicer' clothing. You want it to keep looking good after repeated washings, you want good quality stitching and whatnot that isn't going to fall apart on you in a year. I also shop at the Bay. The prices are lower, and the quality is marginally less as well. But it lets me fill out my wardrobe when I'm on a tighter budget.
Bracelets? T-shirts, jeans, shoes you can fight in. No jewelry.
Except for paracord wraps and firesteel, but only if they stay mostly hidden.

The Bay is Canadian, at least in origin. I think there may be some open in the US these days as well, and it isn't Canadian owned anymore anyway. Anyway, for clothing, that kind of clothing, for me it's quality over quantity.

There's a JC Penny's forty miles away, but other than that I do not think there is much. For a person with very few shirts, quantity is important too. Nihil Obstat
Like I said, it takes time. You can't usually go from one wardrobe to another in a month. Usually is a slow process over at least a year, often more.
My husband wore cargo pantaloons and an un-tucked button down shirt. This was over ten years ago when cargo pantaloons were still considered cool. I thought he looked like a stud. Now he'll more likely wear jeans or khakis and a button down shirt, tucked or un-tucked depending on the place. Suit jackets are rarely necessary.
