Hey, she's a wannabe fransciscan. Beg/borrow isn't the same as steal....

And the Dominicans and Franciscans are CLOSE! Like Brothers and Sisters! (do we have a snarling cat emoticon?)

Aw, I wanna meet Sr. Leah!!!

And Sr. Amata. And Sr. Joseph Andrew. And Sr. Theresa Christi. And Mother Assumpta. And see both of my sisters again.

I'm just going to put it out there, Sister Amata Veritas is one of the funniest people I've ever met. She is amazing.
Also I'm kind of jealous that you got to meet Mother. I went on THREE retreats and she wasn't at any of them!! That's super amazing!

Ohhh Sister Amata Veritas....I LOVE HER!!! She took good care of me when I had a bloody nose at the May Retreat..

She wasn't at the November Retreat though :(

But I did see Sr. Mary Joseph though!!!

She seems so sweet from all of the EWTN programs she shows up on. :) Definitely DOESN'T fit the "grumpy old nun" stereotype.

Random question about that: Are sisters obligated to keep their ages secret too, or just their baptismal names?

I am sure that they do... :|

I will ask some of the Sisters their ages when I am at the february retreat. Actually I have been curious to know how old Sr. Mary Rita is.......she's a character... :|

I highly doubt that either are secret. Their baptismal names may not be well known especially to those who entered after they got their religious name because it isn't necessary to know, and I'm sure they have enough religious names to learn without learning everyone's Baptismal names! And it's just generally rude to ask a women her age.
