Also, I admit to apostrophe abuse with "free's" but I deny that pm's is abuse. Unless you prefer the alternative.

My preferred compromise when pluralizing initialisms is something along the lines of "PMs". I think that is more or less standard usage at the moment.

I seem to remember being taught to use apostrophes with letters, but not numbers. So I would have gone with PM's. But we're in the 2010s.
