cmaD2006
Exactly, that's why I watch those now. Totally cleaned it up.
But some of those reality shows are really borderline in my opinion ... sometimes they're really cut-throat too! (Note -- I don't watch too much tv either). "Oh, I was totally in love with him ::sniff, wiping away many tears:: even though I only knew him for a week. He really was my soul-mate!" My goodness, how can you not laugh hysterically! PhuturePriest
How could I forgot honorable mentions? That '70s Show of course (I'm not even certain this wouldn't end up on my top five list), I can occasionally watch M*A*S*H*, but I mostly like it because it is in a military setting. Leave It To Beaver is a timeless classic, Sanford and Son deserves a mention, Psych, Monk, and I think that should do it.

Norseman82
Can't limit myself to 5... All in the Family The Jeffersons Good Times The Nanny Fawlty Towers Keeping up Appearances Sanford and Son Are You Being Served And, although not necessarily a "sitcom" per se, "Razor Tales" (a local cable TV show that I can best describe as a Sicilian version of "Wayne's World")
homeschoolmom
All in the Family
Okay, Norse... since we're fairly close to the same age... I was thinking of mentioning AITF, but I'm wondering... Do you think it holds up well? I watched it as a kid and always liked it (My mother was pretty liberal with my tv watching.) And I can watch certain episodes in reruns because they are especially good. But... overall... Don't you think it has too much of that 70s flavor? I also considered MASH, too. Ironically, it, too has that overarching 70s flavor.... Mmmm... Over-arching 70s flavor.... Papist
I think MASH was great early on, it was pretty bad in the second half of the series. Trapper leaving really hurt the show, but it was still good. After Frank left, it was a bad show. My favorite character was definitely Col. Flagg.
