dUSt
So I just created a new design for the "Love @ Conception" shirt. I like it a lot better, and it's the first purple phatmass shirt we've ever made. But after I started looking at it, the font I used made the "A" in the @ symbol a capital instead of lowercase. I think it looks way cooler like that. But, does it resemble an anarchy symbol too much, or am I just being paranoid? Nihil Obstat
It is fairly similar to the anarchy A. Would not be unreasonable to mistake them.Besides, most people do not recognize the @ unless it is lowercase. missionseeker
I'd wear an anarchy, pro-life shirt.
dUSt
From Wikipedia: "Anarchism is generally defined as the political philosophy which holds the state to be immoral..." Wow. This might actually be the perfect symbol to make a pro-life statement!

Ash Wednesday
I don't immediately see the anarchy symbol but I do agree with Nihil that the @ in lowercase is the more commonly familiar and understood visual

AccountDeleted
anarchy means everyone can do what they want, right? Then Obama is for anarchy because he is trying to say it is ok for people to have abortions, marry same sex partners etc. if they want to. I don't think the anarchy symbol should be combined with a pro-life message - it is confusing to some of us simple folk.
No. Anarchism means the abolition of coercive structures, private and public. So yes. In an anarchic system you wouldn't be able to use the power of the state, or any power aside from the power of persuasion to keep consenting adults from playing together.
Well doesn't that really equate to the same thing as everyone doing what they want? If there are no laws to follow, then no one enforces them, and so anyone can kill anyone they want to without fear of reprisal (except from another person who might want to kill them) - sounds a bit like returning to a lawless society where those with the guns control everyone else. Doesn't sound like a place I'd like to live anyway.
