Romney gets elected and then does nothing to advance the pro-life movement or religious liberty (HHS Mandate)?

As long as he doesn't keep adding to it as I'm sure Obama will, I feel my vote won't have been in vain.

... minus the fact that I live in the People's Republic of Maryland that is...

Yes, I will apologize. Please bookmark this post so that if that happens you can remind me.

I think he'll at least make the (ostensible) effort. If it succeeds, we will see the funding come from some other source, which means we're paying for it, anyway. But the usual suspects will run with the shallow truth, and proclaim Romney ended the mandate! WOOOOO WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

I would certainly apologize , and step up my prayers for his tenure. I don't understand how any can claim to be christian and then refuse to believe that Romney could have changed his views on abortion. I thought us catholics were all about conversion and as Romney says he is now pro-life I tend to believe he has converted to that stance, whether its just for votes is a moot point as long as he follows through. Romney taking the pro-life stance makes him the only choice I have to vote with a clear conscience.

Obama has made no such concession and being a staunch advocate of abortion in all its forms, including being the only Illinois senator to vote for partial birth abortion in the state legislature and his being a proponent of euthanasia, I doubt he will change. Obama also is at the forefront of the assault on religious freedoms, how could I take any chance to allow him an unmatched vote of his supporters by either not voting or voting 3rd party ?

If the big O is reelected it’s a sure thing, if Romney gets elected both he and his running mate have pledged to (try to) protect the unborn.
BTW:
RTL has estimated that 55 million abortions have been preformed since Roe vs. Roe became the law of the land. Let's face it, Amending this law (Roe vs. Roe) is futile, HOWEVER, discontinuing the Government funding of Planned Parenthood is achievable and a good start.

It is a Fact that: Planned Parenthood main function is to terminate poor and undesirable children, purely for economic reasons. A disproportionate amount of PP’s cliental are African American. FACT

I think arguing the abortion stance is futile at this point, because most of the anti-Romney people posting here have seemed to put abortion at the same level of importance as other issues--despite what the church teaches.

Actually, it seems to me the pro-Romney forces are ignoring the facts about Romney and how our Federal government operates.

Romney even said during one of the debates that he believes women should have access to birth control, so I have my doubts that he will do anything to reverse the HHS mandate and help religious freedom. In the end, we are going to pay for it, regardless of our religious views...If anything, the Romney supporters have made me more sure of my decision to vote 3rd party. Good job!!

No, you guys are ignoring the fact that Romney has explicitly stated that he's not going to defund Planned Parenthood, or do anything of value to advance the pro-life cause.

Incidentally, the ONLY candidate in this election who has a 100% pro-life voting record and has promised to advance the pro-life cause is a third party candidate.

But I guess some things are more important to you guys than being pro-life.

What a silly thing for him to say... Just about every person in America "has access" to birth control. Every CVS and Walgreens in the country has it. Having access and having someone else pay for it are two different things.

But here's the thing: Romney believes in omnipresent government. He believes in social programs. He believes in a government empowered to provide or take whatever it wants. He loves big government.

And he isn't truly Pro-life.
