Thanks for the replies! :) I have never been in a relationship, because in high school I was sort of introverted, and then in university I began discerning and it just didn't feel right to date. I was afraid for a bit that it would be an impediment for a community... I understand how they want to make sure the motives are correct, and it's not just running away from marriage because it's seen as something evil, etc.

I only dated 2 guys although I don't think the first one counted since I didn't really know him except from online (which was really dumb; I would never do that again). The 2nd one had some serious family issues that caused him to be really needy and he wouldn't respect my boundaries (such as no sex before marriage). It did not mess up my perception of men and marriage, however, because I am still very much attracted to men in a chaste way but I believe, above all, that I am called to consecrated life and not marriage. The psychologist who gave me the evaluation said that it was normal and he didn't think there was anything wrong with me not wanting to date as long as there was no ulterior motive like I hated men or something. In fact, when I made my reversion to the Church in December 2007, I found myself attracted to one guy in particular. I actually came close to asking him out on a few occasions but he just got married this past February and is expecting a child this month! I am super happy for him and realize that he and I were not meant to be together. :)

I see what you mean! for me it's not like I hate men or anything either, and I did want to be in a relationship a few times but then I just didn't feel peace about it because I felt I should look into religious life.
