Saint Therese Is Stalking Me!

Oh how I wish she would stalk me...

As I understand it, the novena to St. Therese doesn't need to be said for St. Therese's feast day, but can be said anytime. Go for it!

Also, St. Therese isn't the only saint who "stalks" people--or does miracles for them. (Not that I'm saying anything you don't know already.) Personally, I have several saints I pray to regularly and a few more that I pray to when I think of it. Whenever something especially good happens to me, I think to myself "Now which saint was responsible for that?"

Roses are wonderful--no matter who they come from!

I recently bought "History of a soul". It was very hard to find in Dutch, because this must be the only translation where they didn't translate the title literally. In Dutch it's titled "I believed in Gods love". I'm really enjoying reading it.

Just saw this on the Facebook page of the DSMME :hehe2:

Thank you. Since seeing this thread I have been saying her Novena. No roses. I should not complain though I am often thoroughly stalked by two lovely Saints. Saint Martin de Porres and Saint Jude.

I guess I am just being greedy.  :paperbag:

Ummm..

You know I said, a couple of hours ago, no roses?

Does a very spectacular picture of one turning up on your facebook account count?

This arrived twenty minutes ago.

Oh, and I just realised, someone bought me a lovely china teacup and saucer for Christmas - with er... roses... on it.

Maybe I am just a bit dense?

Yes, that counts! Even saints use the internet nowadays :hehe2:

If you're praying a novena and you're desperately looking for roses, you won't find any. But she trows them at you when you don't expect it. And then you're shocked for a few seconds, immediately realising that you got a rose after all.

  • 2 weeks later...

I was praying in my cathedral today (didn't plan to do that, but I was in the neighbourhood anyway) and saw this. This looks like an invitation to the altar, doesn't it?

^^^^^ ROTFL!!!!!   If you were a lady, NonNovi, I'd say that and this week's AnneLine Avatar were God trying to tell you something.  Of course... St. John of the Cross and many other mystics would tell you that the soul is ALWAYS feminine...

From Evening Prayer for today:

Listen, O Daughter, give ear to my words:
forget your own people and your father’s house.
So will the king desire your beauty:
he is your lord, pay homage to him.

And the people of Tyre shall come with gifts,
the richest of the people shall seek your favor.
The daughter of the king is clothed with splendor,
her robes embroidered with pearls set in gold.

She is led to the king with her maiden companions.
They are escorted amid gladness and joy;
they pass within the palace of the king.

Sons shall be yours in place of your fathers:
you will make them princes over all the earth.
May this song make your name for ever remembered.
May the peoples praise you from age to age.

Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit:
– as it was in the beginning, is now, and will be for ever. Amen.

.......................................... :congrats:
