Freedom
Now calling me a pharisee is not an attack? You just don't make sense and I won't respond to that.

kujo
How can it not be a time and place for this prayer if this is supposed to be a Catholic site? Just change the name if you don't want prayers here and the only thing I want to add is, I didn't know that posting it everywhere is considered a spam. So I won't do it anymore. Other than, if calling me disrespectful is not an attack, what is?
This isn't only a Catholic site. You are posting on a forum for Catholics and non-Catholics to discuss a wide range of topics. You wanna pray, go into the prayer thread. People will follow you over there and you can do a whole bunch of praying. But randomly interjecting this prayer into random discussion threads is spammy trollism. Don't know what that is? Google it. Freedom
Here comes Mr. Condescendence. Mocking and belittling, this is your style of a defending your know it all self.
Aloysius
the way you posted it did not come across in any way, shape, or form as a sincere prayer. if it was meant as such, it was certainly taken another way. if you were sincerely praying that prayer in every instance when you posted (and not just copy/pasting to make some kind of point, which is what it came across as), and you were not doing so in some haughty way, then I will apologize, but you did come across that way. There is a time and a place for everything. The time and place you chose to place your copy/pastes of the prayer of St. Michael indicated a misuse of the prayer that did not show proper reverence for sacred things, and that was reflected in the response that was given to you. If you intended it as a sincere invitation for us to all pray that beautiful prayer, I suggest that in the future you place it in a better context. I offered you a suggestion as to where you can do your prayers. I have nothing to defend. Just trying to be helpful
Freedom
Fyi, prayers belong everywhere. I rest my case. Unless you have something against prayers, you would not protest that.

Unless you have something against prayers, you would not protest that.
So you'd be cool with coming to a screeching halt on I-95 so that you could get out of your car, kneel down in the road and say a Franciscan rosary? I'm against that. So, I guess I'm against praying then, right?

kujo
Kujo, I was talking to Nihil Obstat. I don't have enough time to quote people and then get back to them.
It takes 0.000003 seconds to hit the "quote" button. FYI, it also takes 0.000003 seconds to hit the "reply" button you are currently using. And you'd probably have more time if you'd stop praying for a few seconds.
