MIKolbe
i don't think there is anything stopping you from bringing it back.

I'm not the Pope or a bishop... ...the very least I can do is ask my local parish priest if we can start praying it again... but for reasons unknown, the praying of the St. Michael prayer at the end of every Mass throughout the Universal Church, was "supressed" in the 1960s... things that make you go hmmmmm
Trust me, I have no doubt you are not a bishop or the Pope... LOL.. talk about smoke of satan!!!!! And actually.. the very least you could do is put on a brave face and a positive disposition and pray it yourself after Mass. As far as I know, one is not prohibited from praying in Church after Mass. That's all I meant. but now you got me all thinking about it... i better not hurt myself.... I mean, I understand it might be easier to be disappointed or sad or mad or 'wonder, wonder, wonder' (cough-smokeofsatan #conspiracytheory), or want someone else to do something about a situation... not that you would ever do that.... but maybe you could be more of a witness to the change you want to happen. Maybe start the change with you? It most likely takes more courage than complaining about it, say, on a message board; but I would bet it might be more effective in the long run. Of course, this is not say one shouldn't talk to the hierarchy about these things.. I think Canons 212 and 213 cover that. You could even invite your priest to pray with you. It takes true courage to affect change, not shiveling, acrimony, or conspiracy-theory-wonderment (again not to say you do this, but one does see these reactions a lot). Maybe invite people to pray with you. Make a tract about the prayer and how proper it is that it be formally restored to the Univeral Church, get it approved, and print some out. iono.. i guess just work for it. I would certainly pray for your 'success'..like that means anything! But I would. and if that doesn't work, hit vee in the head with a bat, and have some beers. see.. a win/win!!!!!!
I see it more frequently after daily Masses than Sunday Mass. At our old parish, and my parents' parish they pray it after the Daily Mass, but not Sunday Mass. Nihil Obstat
Heck, while you're at it, get a group together and first meditate on the Last Gospel, then do the Leonine prayers. There is no good reason for either of those to be suppressed.
IgnatiusofLoyola
I found this prayer on one of the online Rosary sites I visit. It was listed among two or three "optional" prayers to be prayed after praying the Rosary. I liked it, so now I pray it every time I say the Rosary. I confess I don't say the Rosary often enough. I TRY for every day, but it usually turns out to be more like a few times a week. I am certain no role model for holiness, but I like to hope that I am better than I was even a year ago, and VERY different than I was before I discovered Phatmass. Heck, I even like MIkolbe. (Although I know he hates it when we say things like that.) But, MIkolbe seems to love his wife and children very much, so I figure there must be a streak of niceness hiding somewhere.)
