and if you'll notice, i left the open mic thread open as well as the vocation thread open. i only closed/moved the threads that were placed in phorums where there was no clear point (such as Q&A phorum) to that thread being there.

it was actually disrespectful the way you used the St. Michael prayer like spam, not that you were called out for it. disrespectful to St. Michael, and disrespectful to the prayer. We ought to be reverent of such things, and throwing them around the way you did is a highly irreverent use of a solemn and sacred prayer for deliverance from evil.

sigh. no one is attacking you. i don't understand this. every time someone disagrees with you, you say that they are attacking you. if i honestly thought anyone had attacked you per the guidelines, i would have edited & warned the person responsible.

Posting serious prayers with no other context in the Lame board or other discussion boards would be about as appropriate as discussing the newest episode of the Walking Dead in a prayer thread someone posted for a dying relative.

Everything has its place, and just because something is good doesnt mean it fits everywhere.

the prayer itself isn't disrespectful. it was your use of the prayer that was disrespectful. just like the words the pharisees used were not disrespectful, but the fact that they stood on the street corners to boast that it was they that was saying them WAS disrespectful.

How can it not be a time and place for this prayer if this is supposed to be a Catholic site? Just change the name if you don't want prayers here and the only thing I want to add is, I didn't know that posting it everywhere is considered a spam. So I won't do it anymore. Other than, if calling me disrespectful is not an attack, what is?
