Jamaica, Hurricane Sandy

Jamaica hasn't had a direct hit from a hurricane since Gilbert in 1988. The eye of Sandy will pass over Jamaica today.

My disabled grandmother still lives in the house that my grandfather built. She refuses to leave. Her body is wearing down, but her mind is as sharp as ever. I guess the stubbornness is genetic.

I also have aunts, uncles and cousins in Jamaica.

Please pray for their safety and for the safety of all in Jamaica today.
