One guy told me his mom wasn't white, she was clear. She could literally walk to her car and get sunburned. I never get sunburns and I don't use sunscreen. There are many benefits to not being really white.

I do not use sunscreen either, but it is because I am allergic.
Luckily, despite being quite white, I do not burn too badly if I am careful.

I am Italian, through and through. On my mother's side, my family comes from from Alatri, which is in the region of Lazio, and also some from Sicily. My father's side comes from Lombardia and Abruzzi. I am the fourth generation of my family to live in America, with my parent's grandparents being "straight off the boat."

My father's grandmother's family was apparently a fairly wealthy one, with much influence and power back in Italy. But that has never been verified.

There are also some stories of involvement with the Black Hand at one time, and later with the mob here in the US. But those tales are also unproven.

I still have family in Italy, specifically in Rome. There are more than just them, but they are the one's that we are closest with.

I believe each culture has a paticular gift that can only be illuminated by christ. My fam as far as i'm aware on both sides where in australia at the beggining of colonisation, unsure free settlers or convicts. And beyond that i have irish and english blood and on one of the irish sides before ireland they where french, came over to ireland during a war to fight the brits supposedly. But i like luigis comment, first and foremost i'm a christian or learning to be a christian actually, i have had no saint paul conversion, though i have had many mini st paul momments.

Onward christian souls.
JESUS iz LORD.
GOD is GOOD, GOD is LOVE.GOD SAVES.

JC " i am the vine and you are the branches."
St benedict. "prefer nothing whatsoever to christ."

<edit> I came across this conundrem about how some things are speciafically cultural and need to be addressed by each paticular culture, so like a muslim should go to a muslim psychiatrist, and a christian to a christian psychiatrist etc etc. A catholic christian should be allowed to decide they only wan't to marry another catholic christian without being called racist as such. Like i'm ok with that, but i don't agree with other cultures buying out whole suburbs over time and not intergrating to the nation they have moved to. Like jesus said "you look but can not see, you hear but cannot percieve etc etc only to avoid being fully healed."

All I know is if somebody trashes you on television when you are a Priest, they better watch out because the mob knows some people who know some people that will deliver a "message" promptly and swiftly.

To be brief: Italy, Germany, England, & Ireland.

My grandfather's grandparents on my mom's side of the family came to America from Sicily, and my grandmother's side came from Ireland and I don't know where else, if anywhere. Specifically, I know that at first my grandfather's grandparents lived in Louisiana but then moved up to IL. We still have relatives in Louisiana, though.

As for my father's side of the family, somewhere along the line they came from England and Germany to the US. I know that my great grandmother only spoke German for the first 6 years of her life.
That is most of what I know.
