Yes, I know all leftists (including Communists) claim their brutality is only a temporary necessity, and once they have their way, the state will wither away and all that jazz, but the reality is when in control, leftism always results in tyranny. . . . beaver dam, wish I had props to give Winnie in this thread . . .
I'd agree with this.
Romney is nowhere close to the "far Right." He was probably overall the most liberal of the major GOP candidates.
And this.
Nick? Why does he get all the phatmass chicks? Aloysius
All that needs to happen for that is a tie in the electoral college, the Democrats re-take the house, but the Republicans re-take the senate. While all three of those things are very unlikely (especially given my prediction that either Jill Stein or Ralph Nader on a write in will be winning in a landslide), it is possible haha. More likely if there's a tie is that the House and Senate majorities will stay the same and we could end up with Romney/Obama. Personally, I want neither of them to get 270. I know it's unlikely, but it would be really amesome if that happened because of the faithless electors in Texas and Nevada who will be voting for Ron Paul in the electoral college (yes, there's at least one electoral vote Romney simply cannot win, consequences of being a cheating manipulating idiot in the primaries and state conventions ). At the very least we could save ourselves all the bull croutons about one of them having a "mandate" from the people, since they'd have been elected by congress. qfnol31
I did the math on CNN's map last night and with current polling I think it's quite possible we'd see a tie if things remain about where they are.
Groo the Wanderer
kick em all out of office. impose term limits. let no lawyers hold public office. mandate the first 4 yrs no laws may be passed other than a review of every single govt agency, department, bureau - dismantle every single one not allowed by the US Constitution (and that commerce clause cwap is out). then start over
