Julie de Sales
Tomorrow I want to go with my father to visit my aunts who are living 8 h away from us. The problem is that we can come back home only on Sunday. I was wondering: even if we will attend Mass Sunday morning, is it allowed to travel that much in this day? My father will be driving and he must go also because of work reasons, but I'm going for pleasure. And you know, an 8 hours travel is tiring... tinytherese
There's nothing wrong with necessary traveling on sundays.

[/quote] As previous poster mentioned, yes, you can travel on Sunday if necessary. It's better to have more than one person in the car as this helps keep the driver sane and awake. You may be going for fun, but it could be argued that by going along, you are helping out the driver in their necessary driving.
