The Vice President Debate

Biden came off as jerkish and aggressive. So, I guess that's a victory (of sorts) for the Democrats.

Ryan came off as somewhat less of a liar than Romney. So, I guess that's a victory (of sorts) for the Republicans.

God bless America!

Fun fact: Vice-president Joe Biden interrupted Paul Ryan EIGHTY FOUR TIMES tonight. That means if "Drink every time Biden interrupts Ryan" was on the list, you would've been passed out on the floor thirty minutes in.

Your post amuses me, peasant. Go on further if you have anymore input.

I felt Joe Biden came off as such a jerk. When he first came on the stage, and I couldn't help but feel he was a really nice guy, and that if I ever met him I would be willing to do it again. That changed as soon as the debate started. I think he was trying to do what Romney did, but Romney come off as aggressive, where as Joe Biden came off as a total jerk. He interrupted Paul Ryan every time he spoke even if he had only spoken a few seconds, and then he complained that he wasn't given as much time as Paul Ryan! He got his own time AND Paul Ryan's! And Fox and CNN checked, he got more speaking time than Ryan did. Anyway, I just felt his behavior was completely unacceptable, and Paul Ryan came off as very respectful.

Fox News. Apparently they had people counting every time he interrupted him, and their official count was eighty four.

I'm sorry, eighty two times according to this source: http://www.breitbart.com/Breitbart-TV/2012/10/11/Biden-Interrupted-Ryan-82-Times

LOL. Okay, Fox News' "official count."

How many times did Ryan interrupt Biden, or make condescending head-nods?

You act like it came from the Huffing Puffing Post or something.

I watched specifically for Paul Ryan to do it. I only counted once for sure, and maybe twice.

But this didn't come from Breitbart. It came from other guys and the clip was shown on Breitbart's news page.

I tried to watch the video, but it wouldn't work. I think the count came from some guy at Fox News, but I don't know. But based off those numbers, be glad it wasn't added to the list on the drinking game. Alcohol poisoning would have claimed millions of lives tonight, and the Romney campaign would have been able to shift the table when the Obama campaign claimed Romney was responsible for the death of a woman. Who knew smirks could kill? And in such vast numbers, no less?

Wait, you did it again. What does this even mean?

I think I have a subconscious obsession with the 'M' word. :| It keeps showing up on the screen.

For any further subconscious inclusions of the word 'murder':

So, Romney and Ryan get a pass for their moderately pro-life/pro-choice stance because they pay lip-service to wanting to minimize the amount of abortions that happen, while stopping short of outright banning the practice? Isn't this sort of the same lip-service that Obama and other Dems give? In fact, aren't the same words and sentiments about "limiting the need for abortions" paid by every.single.politician.ever?
Definitely are spot-on with you're assessment that they both were pandering to majority opinion, however, Biden specifically and emphatically described the type of Supreme Court Justice(s) the Obama administration would nominate. he was very clear they would not appoint any that were 'pro-Life' that would cause any limits to abortion access. In thier comments, it was clear that Ryan did not want Fed Gov support and payment to abortion (nationally and internationally) and wanted to move it to a State issue which would allow some states to possibly legislate against abortion within States where the majority may vote against it.

Politicians all pander to what will gain them votes, so people's opinions do matter when it can be identified as a significant or majority opinion. Providing States to legislate provides opportunity for incremental restrictions. I didn't notice either mention anything about "limiting the need for abortions".
