Talk To Kujo Thread

As you all know, my participation on Phatmass is sparse. I still look in from time to time, but I very rarely participate in any of the political/social/religious debates/la[background=rgb(245, 245, 245)]mery [/background]that take place.

So, for the sake of parsimony, and in an attempt to consolidate the threads I look at, if any of you have anything to say that you'd like my input on, please just post it on here. Concurrently, I will post things on here that I wish to have your take on. See how neat that is?

Other than The Swede not being clearly dead, do you think Miss Bell is really alive and will be back next season?

Not big on Hell on Wheels, though my dad is up my butt to give it another shot.

Yay! Now we have a place to post when we want to tro--erm say hi to Kujo!

Futurepriest will be most excited to let his freak flag fly in here. Just don't let him begin claiming territory.

On the pic of the joker, I don't think I like it. I mean, I like that it's all "edgy" and grotesque with his face being marginally attached and all, but it just doesn't seem practical for him to continue running around and doing his crazy and brutal antics. It's too much of a liability. And even if we make the argument that "no, he's so insane he doesn't care about the pain" ok fine, but when his face skin rips off every other comic don't be surprised when he's no longer edgy and just gruesome.

What do you think of adults wearing animal hats?

I don't know whether the intention was to be "edgy," but I can't deny that they definitely intended--and succeeded-- to be grotesque. To be honest, it's not really something they could have done differently--Snyder and Capulo didn't randomly--and without any real explanation or justification--cut off the visage of the most iconic villain in all of comics; that would be a certain Tony Daniels, whose shoddy run on Detective Comics has graciously, and tardily, ended.

I'll tell ya, though.I agree with questioning the longterm viability of this iteration of The Clown Prince of Evil. I'm sensing a retcon/magic surgery to "fix" Joker by the end of this storyline. Still, I can't wait for DITF to really kick off!

(BTW, didn't know you read comics. I suddenly like you more...)

Why is your avatar a picture of a rich, charismatic, successful black man? I am NONE of that.

Clarification, read is a past tense verb for me. Had to give them up to keep my grades reasonable, but I still try to follow at least a little bit. Certainly a difficult task for me these days, but I give it a shot every once in awhile.

Who's your favorite character?

3 nights in a row where Amanda has woken up at 3 am to vomit and use the bathroom.

Should I be nervous?

That leaves about one thread to post in.
