Nihil Obstat
I'm not really sure what you mean by any of this. Many (most) of the self-styled Anglican churches I've run into are very conservative, approximating or paralleling the Catholic Church on both social issues (abortion, matters of homosexuals in the public sphere, etc) and theological issues (especially their reverence for what they believe to be the Eucharist).
I read a couple Anglican/Episcopalian blogs for around two years until I got bored of them. These were on the rather conservative end, and the consensus seemed to be that the Anglicans were essentially kowtowing to Episcopalian pressure, and specifically, the threat of losing Episcopalian money. Gene Robinson, for instance, was a good example of that. As I understood it, while the Anglican communion was supposedly studying the idea of homosexuals in ministry, the consensus at the time (I think it was a written moratorium) was that no active homosexuals would be made 'bishops' while the study was ongoing (obviously they were already serving as 'priests at the time anyway). But the Americans went and did it anyway. And the Anglicans made a bit of a fuss, but basically rolled over and let them do it anyway. Not being part of that scene I cannot offer my own assessment, but it was an extremely common complaint.
