Benedictine Nuns In France

Their habits are very unusual for Benedictines, the professed veil colour especially. I've never seen anything like it before.

I've never heard of them before, and yes, the Professed nuns seem to have a sort of peach coloured veil.......

There are Benedictines du saint sacrement in in Rosheim (France, I think) who also wear this same style of veil. They were founded by Catherine de Bar / Mere Mechthild du saint-sacrement. I cannot tell if this community is affiliated to the monastery in Rosheim. If I get a chance, I will try to search on the OSB international site to check.

I rather like the veil, and I especially like that they have retained the cuculla/cowl given at final monastic profession.

Just my 2 cents....
