There are major renovations going on now at Traverse City Carmel. What they are hoping for .. It's going to be easier if I just post the links, so here they are http://kankakeelatin...oik-renovation/ http://kankakeelatin...red-carmelites/ http://record-eagle....ns-to-TC-chapel http://kankakeelatin...ry-renovations/ http://kankakeelatin...nastery-update/ <-- I believe most really Spanish statues are hand-carved/polychrome http://goodsaints.co...-traverse-city/ <-- several links & docs there http://www.stroik.co...esus-of-prague/ And a few others on them: http://www.carmelite...ph.org/Trav.htm http://db.religiousl.../irl.nsf/org/82 http://kankakeelatin...ican-carmelite/ http://record-eagle....Teresa-Margaret - they pin the veil now like the French, but it's still mostly Spanish http://archives.reco...4/jun/27nun.htm I've heard great things about them and their Mother Prioress! Chiquitunga
Also these stained glass windows were recently put in, http://americanglass...orum5/1628.html It's Our Lady giving the scapular to St. Simon Stock and St. Teresa Margaret of the Sacred Heart http://stteresamargaret.org/ and Our Lord .. definiely her because of the Florence Duomo outside the window. Their Mother Foundress is Mother Teresa Margaret who is still alive (101 now I believe) whom I posted about above
Totally Franciscan
These windows are amazing. I love that they are floor to ceiling; they really draw one into them. The chapel is so beautiful! Thanks for posting this Chiquitunga, our resident expert on all things Carmel! God bless!

VeniJesuAmorMi
Beautiful! What a difference than what it was before. The Sisters must be so pleased, and its very fitting for a Carmelite Chapel. I'm thinking that the picture that is on the Altar is the same one that they have on the Altar for the Poor Care Sisters in Alabama (Mother Angelica's community.) All for Jesus! :)

graciandelamadrededios
May her soul rest in peace. Mother Margaret Mary was formed by Mother Mary Ilias herself. Traverse City Carmel has few members and I pray that they get good vocations.
