Gabriela
Oh my gosh, what an absurd question. Of course attractive men exist. Have you ever seen Sean Connery? And of course many women find them physically attractive. In fact, some men are downright HOT. (Why isn't there a flaming emoticon? Seriously, where's the imagination?) Who would marry a man she found ogreish (unless, of course, ogreish does it for her)? You'd be amazed what attracts some women. I personally prefer super-geek chic. But many ladies dig the muscle men. And probably the majority go for the average, sweet, preppy-looking fellow. Some like 'em dirty (as in, under-groomed, which, so far as I've read, FuturePriest, should give you hope). Some like 'em sweaty. In my parts, they like 'em covered in coal dust. Praise God, there is one for us all. There's nothing more delightful and endearing than seeing a couple of "undesirables" (by superficial, mainstream standards) utterly and hopelessly in love. :-) Edited November 16, 2012 by curiousing

Soap companies have turned Americans into bacterio-phobes. No one but coal miners and professional athletes and possibly some people with skin disorders need to shower EVERY day. I regularly go several days without showering. Rarely do I shower every day. And I smell like roses. ALL THE TIME. :-P

It depends if I have worked that day and smell like smoke or if I have done karate or something.

EmilyAnn
How did the absence of good looks affect the relationship? Was your attraction to him any different in your experience than in other relationships, other than I imagine it is something that grew as you got to know him instead of starting as strong?
Actually it was one of these things where I was attracted to him right from when I first met him. Without being cliché, it was the sort of thing where we just "clicked" right away. So I think because of that physical appearance didn't really matter to me. It wasn't something I really noticed or cared about, other than when a friend (rather rudely IMO) developed a habit of pointing it out. That annoyed me.
