I've been around the block. There's little you can do in a post to make me blush, trust me.

Before my Religious conversion, yeah. I wasn't the most Saintly of people. I had basically given up on God, and I gave in at fourteen, But I like to think of it as an opportunity to help others not make the same mistake rather than something to mope about. This is why I have always loved Saint Augustine very much and felt a close relationship with him more than other Saints, because he felt the same Priestly call despite his past like me.

Saint Augustine is amazing! He really helped me too. Especially since so many people - Catholics I might add - treated me like I was beyond redemption. It took me a long time to realise they were wrong. If by being honest about myself I can help a single person see that then I've made something good out of my mistakes.

Those are sort of my thoughts about it. You have the experience and knowledge, why not put it to good use by saving souls?

In reality there are many of us alive in this age who would not exist if women could not marry someone who was not physically attractive to them and have a good marriage. In past generations women would marry a man who was financially secure, settled down and responsible. This usually was an older man who had worked long enough to gain such status, they would usually be set up with their mate by the womans family, her family looking for a stable man to take care of their daughter for life. I am sure there were cases where the woman was attracted to someone else, maybe a good looking young guy she knew from her area, but without the means to support a family and care for them they did not get together.

Although I have never seen a man that I thought, " hey that is a good looking man " I have seen many woman married to guys that look to be either gay ( effeminate acting ) or big fatties or just weird looking guys married to decent looking women such as Bill Gates and the one who goes by the name Seal, but perhaps these women were not so shallow in their views of men and were attracted to something else.

I thought this article was relevant... apparently aroused women are less likely to get grossed out... (obvious warning...mature content :P)

This was spurred on by my sister telling me that there is no such thing as a physically attractive man, and that no women thinks any man is attractive. I thought she was insane and that she did not speak for all women, so I decided to make a poll to see what the Phatmass women think! So please, disregard my picture and answer the poll and add some input if you like: Do physically attractive men exist?

Sorry, Phatmass hasn't been working very well. Can a moderator take off the other one?

What does she consider attractive? I know every woman on here can make a list of males she thinks is attractive :) However, we don't walk through a mall shopping for an attractive male to marry (hmmm...), that is usually not how we pick a mate. Voice, smile, sense of humor, intelligence, kindness all count for more than just being eye candy.

I agree. My ex-boyfriend wasn't eye candy. He was pretty average-looking if I'm honest. But he was sweet and kind and funny and so I was attracted to him anyway. It's about more than just physical appearance.

Eduardo Verastegui and Christian Bale's response to this question:

"Challenge accepted."

...but seriously, God was very, VERY good to these two men in the physical looks department.

Eduardo's eyes in person are entirely too gorgeous. And he's very kind. Most affluent people tend to look down their noses at caterers. But he was kind.

Unfortunately I didn't realize it was him until afterwards. Haha. Bit his eyes are pretty incredible (and I would think that of anyone with eyes like that. )

And I'm one of the ones that makes someone else here worry about young women today???
