Anastasia13
I put extroverted. I'm probably 60% extroverted, 40% introverted.
sixpence
I like this page's descriptions of the different options. I also like it's descriptions of the individual personalities http://www.personalitypage.com/html/four-prefs.html

Basilisa Marie
I don't get it.
It's an "instrument" that helps you figure out what your natural preferences are when it comes to relating to people and processing information. Introvert/Extrovert is whether or not you're energized while being by yourself or around people, Intuitive/Sensing is how you perceive information (preferring gut feelings vs concrete data), Thinking/Feeling is how you make decisions (logic or empathy), and Judging/Perceiving is how you interact with the rest of the world (do you prefer to prefer to judge - think or feel, or perceive - intuit or sense). One reason why it's helpful to know someone's "type" is that it lets you know how they're most comfortable processing information, so you can tailor your argument to that. Like...if someone is an INFP like me, then arguments that appeal to empathy are going to make more sense to me than arguments that are just based on objective theories and have no "human" component. Or if someone has a T and J in their type, then appealing to empathy is going to be way less successful than logical reasoning.

sixpence
clearly either something about internet phorums, or Catholicism attracts a lot of intuiting introverts LOL
AnneLine
INFP over here.... Intuiting Introverts LOVE the internet -- and sharing intimately while still maintaining space -- and praying -- so yup, we'll let the others THINK they are in charge, but we have our ways.... of taking over PM. Has anyone seen this book: Prayer and Temperament? (if you go for it, use the PHATmass purchasing link, right dUSt?) http://www.amazon.com/Prayer-Temperament-Chester-P-Michael/dp/0940136023/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1348270592&sr=1-1&keywords=temperament+and+prayer It does a good job of looking at the temperaments AND at aligning them with many of the major spiritualities. Not surprising to me that many Franciscans are SF, Jesuits SJ, Dominicans NT and Augustinian/Carmelite types tend to be NF.... BUT.... every community always NEEDS people with the other preferences, too..... most people in my Secular Order community are INFPs or INFJs.... which makes the few among us who have the 'EST and/or J preferences VERY good at keeping us grounded...
