Maximilianus
Pirates ? Pirates are not worth the wind that fills their sails, unless you are talking about Vikings. Vikings are like pirate barbarians. Take your average caribbean pirate and put him in the cold weather and he would shiver so bad he could not hold his cutlass. Put a pirate with a cutlass up against a viking wielding an iron long sword, a halberd or an axe and you would have a pirate with soiled undies and a serious wound. Pirates were known for cowardly attacking floundered ships or ambush type attacks, vikings fought proudly head on with battles cries blazing. They died as they lived, honorably. ed
yeah they proudly and honorable sacked monasteries and villages, those monks and peasants were such a daunting adversary. ConfusedCatholicGuy
Pirates are so overrated. All they do is drink, steal and womanize. They have no loyalty to anyone but money and booze. Oh and they die from scurvy.
Yeah, and pirates attacked catholic ships and took the vatican treasures and killed the old ones, and took the younger ones and sold them as slaves. St Vincent De Paul was one such captive sold as a slave. Whats your point Maxi ? The Vikings were completely void of religion, at least reference to the One True God, they probably looked at monastries as nothing more than collections of gold to plunder. At least vikings did fight honorably, the pirates that captured St Vincent De Paul attacked with three ships to one unarmed ship and demanded they strike their flag (surrender) when they refused they showered them with arrows, killing three and wounding several more, including the future saint. ed

The ninjas would spend all their time standing in the dark trying to be invisible and the pirates would spend all their time drinking and dreaming about treasure. Mary+Immaculate<3
Haha this is amesome! I would have to say a ninja-pirate I mean imagine that, a pirate with a ninja mask instead of eye patch (less limit to the peripheral vision), and a ninja with a hook (it's like a built in weapon!) I think there should be people who train all day to be ninja-pirates, they would make an undefeatable enemy, especially a whole boatload of them
