PhuturePriest
Earlier I was watching this picture slideshow on the Franciscan Brothers Minor website: http://franciscanbrothersminor.com/FBM/Sacred_Heart_Friary/Pages/Brothers_prepare_to_leave_for_Columbus.html I felt such joy looking at them and getting to see a bit of their character and love for each other. Does anyone else feel joy when looking at pictures of their (I love how we always claim ownership of Communities. ) Community?
emmaberry
Yup! The joy only grows as you approach entrance, and I would guess it continues expanding afterwards as well. Will be praying for your discernment with these wonderful brothers!! The Poor Clares and these Brothers have such a wonderful relationship... It's really a modern day view of the relationship the original Poor Ladies of Assisi had with Francis' Brother Minor. I might be wrong on those details about this community though, as I have gotten the brothers you were discerning with mixed up with other Franciscan brothers before. I hope it's right this time! Totally Franciscan
Earlier I was watching this picture slideshow on the Franciscan Brothers Minor website: http://franciscanbro...r_Columbus.html I felt such joy looking at them and getting to see a bit of their character and love for each other. David Mary blessing his Friars before their departure for the friary in Columbus, Ohio really got to me. It must have been just like that when St. Francis blessed his brothers. What a wonderful community. I can understand the joy you feel when looking at the photos. These Friars are so humble, loving, and joyful - just like St. Francis himself. I have my eye on the sisters, but all in God's good time. Do you happen to know where in Columbus their friary is? I am from Columbus, but have lived in California for the past 35 years. Just curious as to where they are in Columbus.

It's placed where a Seminary is because that's what their new Friary is for. Do you know the whereabouts of any Seminaries in Ohio?

I have been known to love hugs, a lot, and when I saw how much they hugged each other I went "Yep, I'll fit right in."
ACS67
They attend the Pontifical College of Jesphium! Very impressive. http://www.pcj.edu/intro/intropage.html They still get to look like Franciscans though while attending the seminary...meaning they do not have to cut their hair, shave, or wear the cassock. Catholicterp7
You are not alone I have looked at the pictures of the Children of Mary more times than I can count in the past three weeks. So much joy! JMJ+

I have been to the Josephinum many times growing up in the North end of Columbus; it is just so beautiful!
