Hmm...

Byzantine

Recommended Posts

I'm a Byzantine Catholic but I think that I very much prefer Latin to Greek.

The good news is that some of my Byzantine friends' favorite saints are Latin Rite... Okay, so Venerable Archbishop Fulton Sheen isn't canonized yet...

God speaks Latin.

All raise your right hand, place your hand on the Bible, and repeat after me:

I swear to speak the Latin, the whole Latin, and nothing but the Latin. So help me God.

Groo the Wanderer

I tell my kids that when they ask if they should pray the Our Father in class in English or Spanish. "Doesn't matter. God speaks Latin!"

Guess I should teach them how to say Pater noster... :bananarap:

God's name is Jesus, so He obviously speaks Spanish.

Can't be. Spanish came after Latin and God always was. Hence God does not speak Spanish, at least not as His native language.
