Sponsa-Christi
I thought some of you here might find this helpful—recently on my blog I compiled an online working bibliography of the Church Fathers’ writings on consecrated virginity, complete with links to all the English translations that are available over the internet: http://www.sponsa-christi.blogspot.it/p/church-fathers.html The Church Fathers are really important for consecrated virgins, since their writings are a huge part of our spiritual heritage (sort of like what St. Thomas Aquinas is to the Dominicans, or St. John of the Cross is to the Carmelites). But I think the Father’s writings on consecrated virginity can still be a source of fruitful spiritual reading even for those who are discerning vocations to other forms of consecrated life. This is list is still sort of a work in progress, since there are other Patristic sources that I haven’t had time to track down yet. But I thought it might be a good first step to making the Church Fathers a little bit more user-friendly to consecrated virgins and discerners.
