Croat
I have been playing "League of Legends"(LoL) for some time. I dont know if you heard about this PC multiplayer game? The loading screen before the game starts sometimes contains immodest pictures of different characters. I am very prudent and I turn my gaze away until the loading screen finishes off so it is not an occasion for sin for me. The rest of the game is pretty much okay. I play this game with my friends who are not so prudent and strong like me and this is probably an occasion for sin for them. My question is: Am I responsible for their sin and should I continue to play this game with them. I even share my gaming account with one of them. What should I do? Is this a grave matter for a mortal sin? Please help me!!! P.S. I do not want to post any pictures of loading screens here because I dont want to make an occasion for sin for anyone here on this forum who is not strong enough. But I can send it to admins or they can alone easily search for them on the internet and tell me their judgement. Each of your friends will stand before their Maker one day to answer for their actions. I don't believe He will say,"Well, of course you took this action. What else could you do? Others made you do it." Having said this I do believe that each one who cooperates (and that's the key word) in the actions of others will also have to answer for their actions. Each of us needs to know that we are responsible for our actions each day. Others may have influenced our actions for better or worse but the responsibility still lies with the person in the mirror. Thank you for your response, but I already knew that. Could someone offer me some concrete answer? Do my actions count as formal or just material cooperation? Am I responsible?
cappie
It's not something I can answer directly as I don't know the state of your soul or conscience. If you actively encourage people to cooperate in impurity then that is a sin. What may be worrying to me is not necessarily worrying for you. As I said before I have not seen the pictures so I am not in a position to judge whether I would judge them material that could lead someone into sin, I have your word for it but sometimes a person's conscience reacts differently. Some people find looking at bathing costumes an occasion of sin, thereby precluding themselves from attending a beach. My novice Master thought watching the Miss World Beauty Contest could be an occasion of sin. I just thought it was a waste of time Edited September 17, 2012 by homeschoolmom
